After having destroyed the rainforest of Sarawak for decades, the logging companies now want to sell their timber as sustainable on the international market. While the logging companies received their first sustainability certificates under the Malaysian Timber Certification Standard (MTCS), the communities in the respective concession areas have not been informed or consulted as required by the standard.
